We are researchers at Princeton University and Carnegie Mellon University conducting a research study on commercial facial analysis algorithms.

Our study will evaluate how well these algorithms work. We will be analyzing commercial facial analysis algorithms that can be used to limit access to online services and content based on age.

We are seeking study participants aged 13+ who can come to CyLab for about 60 minutes in January or February 2026. Participation will involve having the research team take images/videos of your face in different scenarios and completing a short survey.

All data, including the images/videos, will be kept anonymous and will be deleted at the conclusion of the study. Minor study participants will need parental permission to participate, and parents are welcome to accompany their child to the study session.

The study will take place at CyLab in the Robert Mehrabian Collaborative Innovation Center (CIC), in late January and early February 2026. Each participant study session will last approximately 60 minutes.

Participants will receive a $30 Visa gift card for participating in this study.
