Treatment program

The Idaho Statesman
August 28, 2002

This is to inform the people that an organization called NARCONON has applied for a conditional-use permit to open a drug and alcohol treatment program in Boise County.

NARCONON is a drug rehabilitation program run by the Church of Scientology.

There are a number of scientific papers and reports that are very critical of NARCONON's methods and treatments. Many scientists and doctors have criticized NARCONON as unconventional and potentially dangerous.

We urge the people of Boise County to educate themselves about this organization and its mission. Then make your voices heard by contacting Boise County Planning and Zoning (392-2293) and the Boise County commissioners.
