R. Raskob Subject: Story/more rules comments - 1st session Which brings up another good point about the results of character death. Should you have any outstanding debts, those will be passed on to your relatives if any. Wills are executed by the nearest authorities (assuming they can do so). If no will exists, then any possessions are the legal property of the government and are auctioned. Debts are passed on to relatives, known credits are passed to the government. Of course, resurrection, raise dead, and reincarnation bring up interesting possibilities. Without a resurrection intent specified in the will, all property is forfeit. Debts have varying statues of limitations, with increased money directly proportional to longer statue. Illegal resurrections for the purpose of tax evasion sometimes takes place, but is very illegal. I'll make up some interesting stories should anyone wish to hear of them. I'll assume unless stated otherwise that the party signed intents of resurrection conditional on availability of funds, and that they signed wills indicating their possesions should go to next of kin if available, and otherwise to their fellow party members until they are returned to the government. I'm not planning on having anyone die, just want to be prepared. Of course, the Duke was eager to have you all leave, so any will you send me within reason is acceptable. The ranger might not have had to sign anything, Tara is free to decide (but please decide something). avi s
