I am a graduate research assistant of Language Technologies Institute (LTI) in School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. My research interest includes Multimedia, Social Computing, HCI, Machine Learning and its applications in Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval and Large-Scale Data Mining. Currently I am working on Multimedia Event Detection and Recounting.

NEW: CMU E-Lamp MER system is ranked No. 1 in the NIST TRECVID 2012 MER task evaluation!

I received my Bachelor degree in Computer Science with honor from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as a member of ACM Class. During my undergraduate, I was a research assistant at APEX Data & Knowledge Management Lab, working with Professor Yong Yu.

During Jul. 2010 to Feb. 2011, I worked as a research intern at Microsoft Research Asia, working with Matthew Scott and Ming Zhou on Bing Dictionary and Tulsa Project.
