15 participants, UW students in an introductory kinesiology course
3 groups (paper, scrolling text, hypertext)
Random assignment to groups
Baseline measure using a standardized test of reading comprehension, Nelson Denny Test for Reading Comprehension Form H
Instructed to read a 2200 word text and that they would be tested for understanding of the material
Recorded total reading time and % correct on the comprehension questions
