Dayne Freitag is an nth-year graduate student at the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. His research interests include:

Machine learning
Information extraction
Document classification and information retrieval
Web and Net agents

Dayne is currently toiling away at his thesis (tirelessly, with unflagging enthusiasm), which involves machine learning for information extraction.

Before he became responsible--and now during occasional lapses--Dayne used to play chess, savor fine beers, travel, speak German, cook, and write poetry. Now, as noted above, he works on his thesis.
