Getting Ready To Collect Data
-
Download 16299-26-3.zip and unzip it.
The 16299-26-3 release corrects bugs found in the previous release 16299-26-2, so discard
that code if you have already downloaded it. The Arduino
libraries have not changed from the 16299-26-1 release.
-
Move the contents (Arduino progams) to wherever your Arduino programs are
stored. On my Linux box that is ~/Arduino.
The new Arduino programs are calibrate_encoders, sinusoids, steps,
steps_random, and steps_sweep.
There is a directory putty-stuff which has programs to receive data
from your Arduino, which is explained later.
There is a directory lab1 which I will also explain later.
The programs test_xxx have had some bugs fixed.
-
Put your robot upside down on your desk.
-
Make sure your battery is fully charged.
-
Connect the USB cable between the Arduino and your computer.
-
You are now ready to go to the next step.
