RESNA SIG 02 - Personal Transportation

Description
RESNA logo SIG 02 is focused on transportation technologies, information, and modifications for personal vehicles. This includes issues specific to rehabilitation as well as those that provide access through application of universal design practices. It is primarily comprised of researchers and technicians engaged in objective, structured study and design of assitive driving devices.

    The Vehicle Production Group has released details on their new MV-1, a vehicle designed from the start to be a wheelchair accessible taxi.

    The SIG meeting is set for Monday, June 30th, 2008 between 8:00 and 9:00 am in Room Washington A at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA.
  4. Adaptive Driving Alliance New Technology Award
    "The purpose of the Award is to create an avenue to showcase new technology for the automotive adaptive industry that would otherwise not be able to make it to the market. This award would provide seed money and exposure for new ideas and innovations related to the automotive adaptive market."

    Grand Prize: $3,000 cash award
    Finalists (2 Winners): $1,000 cash award
    The three winners also receive Exhibitor Registration and Booth Space at the NMEDA Conference
