Locating Distributed Objects

Colyseus utilizes a scalable distributed range-query lookup service for discovering the objects within an area-of-interest. Our implementation is based on the Mercury system design described in Bharambe et. al [11]. In order to make this paper self-contained, we present a brief overview of Mercury emphasizing aspects relevant to the design of Colyseus along with our extensions to the Mercury design.
