Froggy the Jumper
Description of Froggy the Jumper:
- To operate Froggy the Jumper a child would simply wind up the spring powered gearbox and watch Froggy hop accross the table or floor.
- Kids will enjoy Froggy because it is such a simply toy and is easy to use and see what is causing the jumping.
- The main principle behind this toy is the idea of springs and building up, transfer, and release of energy. These ideas will be reinforced becuase the children will be able to see the springs, cams and gears under Froggy through a piece of clear plastic.
- Construction cost is minimal. Most of the cost is in the gear box, cams, and springs but the rest of the frog would be made of plastic.
- The main issue concerning durability is how long the springs and gears function properly. Obviously the plastic parts may become brittle and break too.
- This is a safe toy for children 4 and up because the only safety concern is swallowing of the toy or parts of the toy.
