1998 Computer Science Department Immigration Course

The primary goals of the IC are to meet the faculty and their research, and to be introduced to the culture of the CMU Computer Science Department. It is an intense and enjoyable three-week introduction to the department, in all its facets.

This page contains a current version of the three-week schedule. In addition, a text version of the CSD IC'98 schedule is also available.

The schedule is organized and maintained by Dave Johnson (dbj@cs.cmu.edu); this web page is maintained by Eric Tilton (tilt+@cs.cmu.edu). You should send schedule-related issues to Dave; you should send web page issues (like link problems and colored table flames) to Eric. Also, if you have directions and/or a web page for a particular event, let Eric know, so he can add it.

All the sessions are in Wean 5409, unless otherwise specified.

This document is generated automatically from the text version of the schedule. Various and diverse vile Perl and HTML hacks were employed, in order to (hopefully) achieve a good looking as well as functionally useful guide. As with any automated process, there may be occasional glitches; we'll try to fix them as soon as we spot them or have them pointed out to us. Finally, if you find a bad or sub-optimal link on these pages, please point them out. (You can contact Eric at tilt+@cs.cmu.edu.)
