Luis von Ahn, associate professor of computer science and a native of Guatemala, was ranked as the most influential "New Face of Thought" in Spain and Latin America by the readers of Spanish Foreign Policy magazine. The list of 10 included thought leaders in economics, law, literature and politics. The magazine reported that readers, given a choice of 25 candidates, selected von Ahn for the top spot on the list by a landslide.
