Justine Cassell, director of the Human-Computer Interaction Institute; Tom Mitchell, head of the Machine Learning Department, and Manuela Veloso, professor of computer science, will join Engineering Dean Pradeep Khosla in presenting an IdeasLab session at the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting, Jan. 25-29 in Davos, Switzerland.

CMU President Jared L. Cohon will introduce the discussion, titled "Leveraging Human-Machine Collaboration With Carnegie Mellon University," which will be facilitated by Tan Chorh-Chuan, president of the National University of Singapore. Each faculty member has five minutes to convey an idea through the highly visual "pecha kucha" style of presentation, followed by a Q&A discussion.

Cassell was among a group of CMU faculty who presented at the WEF "Annual Meeting of New Champions," Sept. 14-16 in Dalian, China, also known as Summer Davos.
