Department of Computer Science


The Department of Computer Science at Williams College invites applications
for a two-year visiting position at the assistant professor level starting
in fall 1997. The usual teaching load is two courses per semester plus
associated labs. Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in computer science or a
closely related discipline with a strong background in computer science,
and should have a commitment to excellence in teaching and an active
research program. We prefer a specialization in the general area of
systems, but other areas will be considered.

Williams is a highly selective, coeducational, liberal arts college of
2,000 students located in the scenic Berkshires of western Massachusetts.
The Department of Computer Science offers a congenial working environment
