The Third U.S. PVM Users' Group Meeting was held May
7 to 9, 1995, at
the Hyatt Regency in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The meeting will provided an
opportunity for users of PVM to meet each other, share ideas and experience,
and meet some members of the
PVM Team.
The conference included:
- Introduction to PVM Tutorial by Adam Beguelin
This tutorial will cover the basics of programming in PVM.
- Advanced PVM Tutorial by Rober Manchek and Jim Pruyne
This tutorial included information on the internal details of the PVM
system and how to use advanced PVM features such as the tracing, hoster, and
tasker interfaces.
- Invited Talks by PVM Developers and Advanced Users
- Contributed Talks from the PVM User Community
- Social Activities
The banquet on Monday evening was held in the Foyer of the
Carnegie Music Hall. Raj Reddy was the after banquet speaker.
