pub/AUIS/patches/official README The patches located in this directory should be applied using the patch program. Sources for the patch program are available in pub/AUIS/util. The patches currently available for release 6.3 are: patch.631 - for all users See Aug. 27 info-andrew mail with subject: AUIS Release 6.3.1 Available patch.hp - for HP users only See Sept. 8 info-andrew mail with subject: Patch for HP Users patch.632 - for all AMS users See October 27 info-andrew mail with subject: AUIS Patch 6.3.2 patch.633 - for all users Patch to V6 figure to make it accept figures created with later versions, including C++ versions 7.2 and higher. patch.634 - for eatmail/AMS/Messages users Fixes potential cause of coredumps for anyone who users eatmail or has AMS/Messages configured to read mail from a UNIX-style mail spool. Previous posts to info-andrew are archived in the pub/AUIS/ia-archive directory on ftp.andrew.cmu.edu. Apply the patches from the top-level AUIS directory, i.e., the directories overhead, atk, ams, exist. Once you have the patch program, issue the following command to csh: patch -p < /{PathToFile}/{PatchFileName} Note: omitting the -p flag will cause patch to not be able to find the correct file to fix. If you do not have the patch sources, they can be found on a number of ftp servers. We make them available on our ftp server, ftp.andrew.cmu.edu, in pub/AUIS/util/patch.tar.Z. Kindly report bugs you encounter to info-andrew-bugs@andrew.cmu.edu. Technical questions or questions about using AUIS should be directed to the info-andrew@andrew.cmu.edu distribution list, while general information can be obtained by sending mail to info-andrew-request@andrew.cmu.edu.
