The Rockwell International Science Center in Southern California is
seeking a programmer for our expanding Virtual Reality program. This
R&D program at Rockwell's corporate research center is developing
Virtual Reality for industrial applications to support Rockwell's
commercial and government businesses, and to explore new markets. Our
current interests include Virtual Prototyping, Augmented Reality,
advanced maintenance, training and human factors analysis.

The primary responsibility of this position includes software
development, systems integration and testing for VR interaction
devices and toolkits, and implementation or development of new ideas.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience, and a
strong programming background with C/C++ and Unix (or MS Window
programming). Should have good knowledge of data structures, calculus,
computer graphics, numerical methods, linear algebra and probability.
Some knowledge of image processing, computer vision, estimation
theory, and communication networking is desirable.  A B.S. degree in
Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field is
required, and an M.S. degree is preferred.
