Not being a color expert, I wrongly stated HSI = HSV in the post being
referred to above.  I stand corrected.  Thanks to those individuals who
kindly explained my error by way of email (I don't mind these corrective
posts either...don't get me wrong.)  BTW, my experience has been only
with HSI.  And usually only the RGB->HSI conversion, followed by analysis
of the H-plane (and I-plane) for inspection purposes only..no re-conversion
back to RGB etc.
