Position: Research Assistant - Medical Image Processing

A position in computer-based image manipulation and processing is
available in the Imaging Research Program at Sunnybrook Health
Science Centre, part of the Department of Medical Biophysics, 
University of Toronto.  
 
This position requires active collaboration with researchers in a
large imaging research program.  The primary emphasis will be on
MRI, but participation in x-ray and ultrasound projects is also
likely.  The main responsibility will be to provide resourceful
support in the application of advanced processing methods to medical
image acquisition, display, analysis and archiving.
 
An advanced degree in physics or engineering is preferred and
prerequisites include fluency in C and unix (X and Motif) and at
least two years experience in medical imaging.  The successful
candidate will evaluate, maintain and develop a broad repertoire
of software tools and must be able to work flexibly and
independently with researchers and industrial partners at all
levels.
