Many companies make arrays that are 2,048 elements long, but they require
extensive interfacing. Get access to a copy of the Photonics Buyer's
Guide by Laurin Publications (they also publish the magazine Photonics
Spectra).

For line-scan cameras that have arrays of 2,048 or longer, four companies
come to mind (there are others):

	Dalsa
	Waterloo, Ont, Canada

	EG&G Reticon
	Sunnyvale, CA, USA

	Loral Fairchild
	Milpitas, CA USA

	Pulnix
	Sunnyvale, CA, USA

Sorry I don't have addresses and phone numbers handy.

If you are looking for an interface between the line-scan camera and your
PC, my company produces them. They work with cameras from some of the
companies above. e-mail me if you want more information on the interface
boards.
