The Applied Research Laboratory of the Pennsylvania State University is 
seeking outstanding applicants for senior positions in the Information 
Systems Department, in one or more of the following and related areas

	Artificial Intelligence based Decision Making
	Distributed Intelligent Control
	Standards and Protocols for the National Information Infrastructure
	Data and Process Modeling
	Interoperability Architectures
	Computer Networking
	High Performance Computing

Current Research in the department is focused on establishing a national 
testbed for Remote Equipment Diagnostics, Distributed Intelligent Control
for Unmanned Undersea Vehicles,  Defense Enterprise Integration, 
Distributed Interactive Simulation for Command and Control and 
manufacturing applications.

A technical background in information systems, artificial intelligence,
wide area networking, data and process modeling, discrete event control
or database design is relevant. A completed Ph.D. in Electrical
Engineering, Computer Science or related fields is desired. Also
specialized backgrounds in emerging information technologies for large
scale systems design and enterprise integration are desirable.
