The Miramichi college, a leader in new instructional technologies, =
located in New Brunswick's newest city, is expanding its instructional =
staff to support its rapid growth in new technologies. Responsibilities =
will include the preparation and delivery of courses relating to several =
of the programs. We seek talented individuals who have the right =
combination of education and experience, together with the drive and =
passion necessary to the development of a brand-new computer-related =
industry.

NBCC Miramichi is a small eastern Canadian Community college located in =
Miramichi, New Brunswick. We have been doing some rather interesting =
things here in our Learning Technologies department including (but not =
limited to) the graduation of businesses (entrepreneurs) into fields =
such as:

Courseware Authoring
Multi-media Learning Technologies
Knowledge Engineering
Electronic Game Design
International Software Marketing and Publishing
Virtual Reality Technology
Educational Technology

The thrust of our program is towards the development of this industry in =
the province of New Brunswick. In order for students to complete their =
2 year program, they must:

-complete an internationally marketable "educational" software product
-register a business
-complete our curriculum

When the students leave here, they have a business, a product and =
hopefully, some income.

Howard Rheingold has written about our program and you can read about us =
at:

http://www.well.com/user/hlr/tomorrow/miramichi.html

As well, we have a bit of text material about our programs available at:

http://www.gov.nb.ca/ael/nbcc/miramichi/index.htm

If you look under the caledar, you will be able to see the outlines for =
our courses.

I am looking for 2 instructors for the Knowledge Engineering program. I =
am flexible as to a variety of means of delivery. This could be
(on-site full time (preferred)), on-site (contractually), a combination =
of on-site and via a distance (contractually).

Applicants should forward a complete transcript of courses taken. For =
each of these positions, an equivalent combination of training and =
experience may be considered. In all cases, written and spoken =
competence in English is required.
NOTE: Should the successful candidates not be teacher-qualified, =
pedagogical training will be provided. Once qualified, instructors are =
eligible for a 2-month non-instructional period annually.

Salary: Up to $47,398 per annum, depending on qualifications. Please =
ensure your application forwarded as soon as possible to Don Whitty. =20

If you are interested in further information, please respond via e-mail
or telephone (506) 778-6632 and I will arrange further communications.

Thanks for your time...

Don Whitty
