A MAJOR CONSULTING COMPANY is seeking individuals who can either manage or 
support the implementation and delivery of software development projects  
using  Knowledge-Based Engineering (KBE) technology (specifically using The 
ICAD System from Concentra Corporation). 

These projects will focus on helping manufacturing companies re-engineer their 
quotation and product development processes.  Other responsibilities of these 
individuals will include  Statement of Work/Functional Specification 
development, project scoping, "rule" extraction from experts, training, 
documentation, and application testing. As part of a team these individuals 
may also support marketing activities, specifically as they pertain to 
technology positioning. These positions require significant travel and offer 
highly competitive salaries with accelerated career paths in the management 
consulting industry.

REQUIREMENTS: (CANDIDATE SHOULD MEET MOST OF THE FOLLOWING)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Have 2+ years experience working on ICAD projects and implementing the ICAD 
  Design Language (KBE) software.
- Have attended ICAD / IDL training.
- Experience with any Major CAD/CAM System.
- Project management and leadership in the delivery of engineering automation 
  software applications, specifically the ICAD Design Language
- BS/MS Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years experience in software development, specifically in the 
  implementation and delivery of engineering applications for manufacturing 
  companies
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to deal professionally with consulting / client relationships
- Experience extracting information from engineers
- Experience with UNIX workstations and PC's
- Ability to travel extensively to Client sites (50% travel).


DESIRABLES: (BUT NOT REQUIRED)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Project scoping skills: the ability to analyze engineering problems to 
  provide  schedules, time, and manpower estimates for funding requirements
- Other software development experience: Object-oriented languages, C, LISP, 
  systems integration (SQL databases, MRP, CAD, Windows), Visual Basic
- Ability to develop project support documentation, including Statement of 
  Work (Functional Specification), End-User training, and technology transfer
- An in-depth understanding of the product delivery process for engineered 
  products
- Other technology experience: expert systems, parametric modeling/CAD, MRP
- Advanced degree, Engineering or Computer Science preferred
- Consulting experience, specifically in how to manage client relationships

Location:      Base location is open, Boston area is preferred

Compensation:  $50K - $70K total that includes a base salary and bonus 
               incentive plan
