I'm writing a real-time program to take in a captured video image at
roughly 2 fps (or higher) from 2 stereo cameras and anaylsis the pictures
to find differences (in displacement of objects and stuff like that) between
frames and determine to a limited extent how far away this moved object
is. Is this kinda of thing even remotely possible on a high-end
486/low-end Pentium? Only the groundwork for this project is in the
works so we don't have an idea as to what resolution we want to use or if
colour (were thinking of 256 grayscale for now). Any opinions?
