The new RAID Advisory Board storage book edition is finally out. It has a
good technical chapter on very high speed RAID 7 architectures suitable
for large image applications and video. It is available at the RAB
in St. Paul, MN. (As the recent US Coast Guard study pointed out, high
speed RAID pretty much obsoletes optical storage from a price/performance
perspective.)
