Yes, I've seen those recommendations too, but I object to deleting
this posting without a suitable replacement.  Usenet FAQs are, for
the most part, ASCII documents.  In many cases, alternative formats
are being added as well (HTML, etc) but there must exist an ASCII
version which is somewhat regularly posted in order for a FAQ to exist.

PDF format is the format used by Adobe Acrobat.  I can't play Acrobat
files on my Amiga, and I'm not sure that I can play them on some of
my other operating systems either.  If the author of the PDF thingie is
willing to maintain an ASCII version as well, then I'm all for it.

Yes, I object.  Now if someone wanted to take it over and update it to
be accurate, that I would go along with.

Note that David did take comments on his FAQ for months, before he was
called to national service.  I am a bit curious as to where the experts
were during that period?  :)

I would also support a Usenet-friendly (ASCII) replacement.
