I own Xevious, and after extensive testing (heh), I'd have to say that
any active analysis is pretty limited.  Some of the airborn objects
(as opposed to the ground tanks) do try to get out of your way when you
come at them.  It does seem to get harder as more people play and
progress farther into the game (provided the machine has remained on
during this time.)  But I can't think of anything else that it does,
other than some tanks changing directions really quickly to avoid your
bomb, that could be called actively analyzing the player's move.
