TIL wins NASA Phase II SBIR Award

TIL has been selected by NASA Johnson Space Center as a recipient of a Small 
Business Innovation Research Award for 1993.  The program will study fuzzy
logic control for improving performance of thermal control systems, which 
includes industrial applications such as air conditioning and energy control.  
(See Environmental Control application article on page 6 for more information.)

The SBIR objectives are to stimulate technological innovation in the United 
States by using small business firms to help meet NASA research and development 
needs and to encourage commercial applications of NASA supported research 
innovations.

TIL is one of 111 recipients of Phase II contract under the SBIR program.
SBIR Phase II contracts continue development of those Phase I projects which 
demonstrated technical feasibility as well as potential value to NASA as 
research innovation.
