Togai InfraLogic Introduces Fuzzy for the Intel 8051
              ----------------------------------------------------

Togai InfraLogic has introduced MicroFPL Development Systems for the Intel 8051
microprocessor. The system generates data structures compatible with the host
assembler formats. This gives product developers the capability to integrate
portable, easily maintained, fuzzy logic knowledge bases directly into existing
cost sensitive products.

The MicroFPL Development System consists of the MicroFPL Compiler and a
MicroFPL Expert Kernel. The MicroFPL Compiler accepts a subset of FPL, the
same language used by other TIL products, for the definition of fuzzy logic
production rules and membership functions. The MicroFPL compiler outputs
assembly source data structures which contain the knowledge base. The MicroFPL
Fuzzy Expert Kernel takes these data structures at runtime and performs the
appropriate fuzzy inferencing. Together these files are linked into other user
application code to form embedded intelligent systems.

Major features are-

  o Concise Knowledge Representation:
	- Simple block-structured language
	- Hierarchical language structure for top-down design
  o Portable Efficient Code:
	- Source FPL can be compiled to a variety of platforms
	- Code can be optimized for speed or space
	- Highly compact
  o Flexible Inference Engine:
	- Max-dot fuzzy inferencing
	- Multiple defuzzification techniques
	- Allows for the creation of simple or complex membership functions
	- Crisp input and output
	- Evaluates membership functions at compile time or runtime

Development Systems.
