Configuring Servers
CLTreeView depends on servers to support its grammar checking, vocabulary checking, and translating functions. You must be connected to appropriate servers in order to successfully use CLTreeView. This section explains how to select and verify servers.
Selecting servers for checking
CLTreeView depends on two different connections in order to check the source language in XML documents. It uses a connection to an Analyzer server to check grammar, and uses a connection to an LMT server to check vocabulary.
Selecting a server for grammar checking
- Select Check>Servers. A popup window shows a variety of connection options.
- Click the Analyzer tab.
- Choose an Analyzer by using the pull-down menu or by entering its name in the text field.
- Enter a Host and Port address, if no defaults appear.
- Click Test, in order to verify that the server is running and is connected to CLTreeView. A status message appears in the field beneath the Test button. If you did not make a successful connection, as indicated by a "Connection Refused" or "Disconnected" message, then choose another server or correct the Host and Port information and try again.
- Click OK.
Selecting a server for vocabulary checking
- Select Check>Servers. A popup window shows a variety of connection options.
- Click the LMT tab.
- Choose an LMT by using the pull-down menu or by entering its name in the text field.
- Under Connection Attributes, enter an address, a username, and a password if no defaults appear.
- Click Test, in order to verify that the server is running and is connected to CLTreeView. A status message appears in the field beneath the Test button. If you did not make a successful connection, as indicated by a "Connection Refused" or "Disconnected" message, then choose another server or correct the Connection Attributes information and try again.
- Click OK.
