Turing Awards

Sometimes called the “Nobel Prize in Computing,” the A.M. Turing Award is the Association for Computing Machinery’s most prestigious technical award, given for major contributions of lasting importance to computing.

Nobel Prizes

The Nobel Prizes recognize individuals who have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature, peace, and economic sciences. They’re widely regarded as the most prestigious awards in each field.

National Medals of Technology and Innovation

The nation’s highest honor for achievement in technology, innovation and invention recognizes those who have made lasting contributions to America’s economic, environmental and social well-being.

Faculty Awards

SCS faculty are the best in their fields, and the global recognition they regularly earn, from NSF Early CAREER Awards to lifetime achievement honors from professional societies, only underscores that expertise.

Student Awards

Our faculty aren’t the only award winners in SCS. Our students — from all levels — routinely rake in honors, ranging from internal scholarships and recognitions to Fulbright Awards and NSF Research Fellowships.
