Parhelic circle 2003/2/13
2003/2/13 15:55 EST. I was sitting in an airplane on the ground in Atlanta, and saw the parhelic circle through the aircraft window. It is the white long 'tail' of the sundog. Unfortunately I couldn't see the whole sky to verify whether the circle was complete. Parhelic circle is caused by external reflection of vertical crystal faces. Nikon coolpix 995 camera.
