A colorful sundog to the right of the setting sun.
Sundogs are created by ice crystals reflecting sun light. They are usually about 20 degrees to the left or right side of the sun, and are very common in winter. This sundog is exceptionally colorful. Normal sundogs are less vivid, but have 'tails' pointing away from the sun. See the halo section for more photos.
