Nova Sagittarii 2002 No. 3
2002/9/23 22:30 EDT. Discovered by Katsumi Haseda 3 days ago, the nova has faded from its peak magnitude of around 5.0. Tonight is the first clear night in Pittsburgh to see it. In binoculars the nova was easy to find, but faint. The following photo was a stacked image of 3 exposures with Nikon coolpix 995 camera, each 30 second exposure, F2.6, ISO 800. Comparison stars are marked as given in AAVSO chart.
