My after-college career started as a PhD student in Computer Science Department of CMU. My PhD work is centered on exploring new routing infrastructure to make tomorrow's networks more robust and easier to manage. My advisor is Prof Hui Zhang.
In 2008, I took a leave from the graduate program to work for Facebook, where I was the main developer or tech lead of stream search back-end, instant search back-end, ads topics targeting, mobile app install ads, and social graph ranking infrastructure.
In my spare time, I enjoy writing high-frequency-trading programs and I won the grand prize of DRW Algorithmic Trading Competition in 2008.
In 2010, I defended my thesis and received the PhD degree.
In 2012, my role at Facebook switched from Software Engineer (E7) to Senior Manager (M2).
In 2013, I joined Google to work on Search Infrastructure.
