The Mobile Robot RHINO In this talk I will give an overview of the RHINO mobile robot project at the University of Bonn. This project is concerned with the design of an autonomous mobile robot that can learn. In this talk I will discuss various components of RHINO's current software approach, as they were exhibited at the 1994 AAAI mobile robot competition. This will include video tapes showing how RHINO explores unknown offices autonomously, navigates with a velocity of up to 90 cm/sec, and searches and "removes" trash.
