Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 Positions

The Vision and Mobile Robotics Laboratory, lead by Professor Martial Hebert, is looking for motivated, hard-working undergraduate students who are interested in joining our research group for paid part-time positions and independent study positions for the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009. Seniors looking for thesis projects are encouraged to apply.

Our group is currently engaged in a large variety of projects related to computer vision (both 2-D and 3-D) and mobile robotics. Specific research topics include perception for ground robot mobility, environment modeling, image-based object recognition, scene reconstruction from images, event detections in videos, object detection and classification, and moving object detection and tracking. This is an ideal opportunity for a student to develop the core research skills needed for graduate studies and to learn from experienced researchers.
