I am Umashankar Nagarajan, a First year Masters student in Robotics at The Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University. I am working as a Graduate Research Assistant with Prof. Ralph Hollis in the Microdynamic Systems Laboratory on Dynamically Stable Mobile Robots from Fall 2007. The dynamically stable mobile robot I am working on is called “Ballbot”.

I did my undergraduation in Mechanical Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India. I worked with Mr. Himanshu Dutt Sharma (Scientist, Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Pilani, India and an ex-faculty of BITS, Pilani, India) on Autonomous Bicycle, which is a Dynamically Stable Robot too.
