Directions to the REC
FROM AIRPORT:
Follow the signs to Pittsburgh (I-270 North). Go throug the Fort Pitt Tunnel and across the Fort Pitt Bridge and the Fort Duquesne Bridge. Remain on I-279 North until you come to Route 28 (EDNA Exit). Exit onto Route 28. Follow Route 28 north for about 2 miles until you reach the exit for the 40th Street Bridge. Be CAREFUL the 40th street bridge exit is on the left side. Cross the 40th Street Bridge. After the bridge take an immediate left onto Foster Street followed by an another quick left. This brings you down beside the bridge. Follow across railroad tracks, to the end. At the end of the road, there will be a sign directing you to the REC.
FROM CMU:
(From the visitors parking lot). Take a left onto Forbes Ave. Follow Forbes to the third traffic light at Craig St.
(From Moreowood lots) Take a right onto Forbes Avenue. Follow Forbes to the second traffic light at Craig St.
(from Mudge House). Take a right onto Morewood Avenue and then a right onto Forbes Avenue.Follow Forbes to the second traffic light at Craig St.
Take a right onto Craig Street. Follow Craig St. at the end where it merges into Bigelow Blvd. Take Bigelow Blvd. for about 1/4 mile until you reach the Bloomfield Bridge. Take a right onto the Bloomfield Bridge. Get into the left lane on the bridge. Take a left on Liberty Avenue. At the first traffic light at 40th street turn right onto 40th street. Follow 40th street through two lights. This should bring you to the bottom of a large hill and the foot of the 40th street Bridge. Just before the 40th Street Bridge take a right onto Foster Street followed by a quick left. This brings you down beside the bridge. Follow across railroad tracks, to the end. At the end of the road, there will be a sign directing you to the REC.
FROM DOWNTOWN Pittsburgh
Take Liberty Ave. Turn left onto 40th Street bridge. Follow 40th street through two lights. This should bring you to the bottom of a large hill and the foot of the 40th street Bridge. Just before the 40th Street Bridge take a right onto Foster Street followed by a quick left. This brings you down beside the bridge. Follow across railroad tracks, to the end. At the end of the road, there will be a sign directing you to the REC.
FROM THE PA Turnpike
Exit 5 onto Route 28 South. Follow Route 28 South until you reach exit for 40th Street Bridge. Take the exit and cross the 40th Street Bridge. After the bridge take an immediate left onto Foster Street followed by an another quick left. This brings you down beside the bridge. Follow across railroad tracks, to the end. At the end of the road, there will be a sign directing you to the REC.
