Bernhard Steffen: The Electronic Tool Integration Plattform

Abstract: The Electronic Tool Integration (ETI) platform is specifically designed for the interactive experimentation with heterogeneous software tools via the Internet. It enables even newcomers to master the wealth of existing software tools in a short timespan, and to identify the most appropriate collection of tools to solve their own application-specific tasks. Besides skething the functionality of ETI, the talk will address the associated online community service, which provides a community-overlapping forum for discussion, and supports people in setting up their own ETI site for organizing distributed projects.
