"Interactive" is meant to be, well, messed with. It is something that your audience can manipulate in order to customize their experience.

It may educate or entertain, but hopefully through interaction, your audience is captivated.

There are times for a passive video - a time to just sit back and watch, But, web-based software can take the form of a game, an interactive quiz, or a movie with multiple storylines and endings...
