2006 IC Hiking Trip

8/31/2006: THIS YEAR'S HIKING TRIP IS POSTPOSED DUE TO WEATHER. Check back next week for updates.

The Laurel Highlands is a region of Pennsylvania south and east of Pittsburgh that's just great for all kinds of outdoor activity. It includes several state parks including Ohiopyle. It offers biking and hiking trails, white water boating, downhill and cross-country skiing, and it's just a 90 minute drive from Pittsburgh. It also houses Frank Lloyd Wright's world-famous Fallingwater. Laurel Hill State Park is another, smaller park in the Laurel Highlands with some great hiking.

For more information, send email to Dan Spoonhower.

Hiking

The hike we will take is about 6 miles long, but there are several points at which some people may choose to take a shorter route. I will bring maps on Saturday.
