In the spring of 2009 I received my PhD from the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University, where I was a member of the CORAL research group under my advisor Manuela Veloso.

During the 2009-2010 academic year I will be a post-doc in the Personal Robots Group at the MIT Media Lab under Cynthia Breazeal. I will then be joining Worcester Polytechnic Institute as an Assistant Professor of Robotics Engineering in the fall of 2010.

My research interests focus on AI, robotics and the development of autonomous robotic systems. I am especially interested in robot learning, adjustable autonomy and human-robot interaction.
