In order to create a cohesive palette or vocabulary of sounds, many of the sounds use the same melodic primitives. In music theory terminology, there are common motives, major and minor thirds are used extensively, and melodies are almost entirely constructed from the B major pentatonic scale. Similarly, the same sound effects (eating, drums, etc) are also used throughout. However some sounds (coins, cash register, etc) are only heard in one of the scenarios. This table illustrates the commonalities between sounds.
*Sounds which are not relevant to the comparison of sets A1 and A2 are in grey.
