As pointed out in the introduction, in a link grammar dictionary with
significant coverage of English grammar the number of disjuncts on
many words gets rather large. Thus, the constant 
in the analysis
at the end of the last section is quite large. We devised and
implemented several time-saving schemes that run in conjunction with
the algorithm of the previous section.
