The summer school will take place on the Carnegie Mellon campus.
Housing:
Out of town guests will stay in our modern dormatory, New House. Originally opened in April 2003, the five-story, 261-bed traditional first-year residence was designed "green" using design and construction practices that significantly reduce or eliminate the negative impact of buildings on the environment and occupants.
New House has individually controlled, year-around heating and cooling options in all rooms with enhanced air exchange and ventilation systems. All public spaces and community baths have automatic lighting and flow controls. In addition to student rooms and community baths on each level, each floor has several gathering spaces, a study lounge, and trash/recycling and storage areas. The building's main floor includes large reading and study rooms, a recreation area, a kitchen and private dining room, vending and laundry, and a fitness room.
