Quilting (Lecture and Practice)

Lecture: In the first half of this workshop Lorrie Cranor will give a presentation about the quilts she has made (see http://lorrie.cranor.org/quilts/) and some of the techniques she uses to design and create her quilts. She will bring some of her quilts as well as some of the tools she uses to make them. This lecture should be of interest to both beginning quilters (even those who have never tried quilting before) who want to know how to get started as well as more advanced quilters.
Practice: In the second half of this workshop participants are encouraged to bring their own completed quilting projects to show and tell, in-progress quilting projects to work on, or ideas for quilting projects that they would like to discuss (bring your laptop if you would like to try designing a quilt with Power Point). Please try to sign up so we have an idea of how many people to expect, but walk-ins are also welcome. Feel free to come just for the lecture or stay for the whole workshop.
