for another two years, in 1986 I entered
Carnegie Mellon , where I exited in 1991 with a Ph.D.
in Computer Science
under
Herbert Simon.
For my minor, I took the graduate core course in
Philosophy of Science with
Adolf Grunbaum
at the
University of Pittsburgh
.
Since 1991 I have been a member of the computer science faculty (research) at Carnegie Mellon. I am also a member of the Center for Light Microscope Imaging and Biotechnology and hold a courtesy appointment in Philosophy .
