Introduction

This note points out a correspondence between boolean functions and the equilibria of a network of elementary reactions. There is a unique boolean function corresponding to a reaction network, which expresses the possible equilibria of the network. Derivation of the boolean function from the network is easily programmed, using widely available mathematical packages.
