Listed on the UNESCO Register of World Monuments since 1983, the Royal Saltworks is an extraordinary site which houses the International Center for Futures Studies for business executives, decision makers and researchers. Located near the city of Besancon in the heart of the Franche-Comte region of eastern France, the area is easily accessible by road, train (2 1/2 hours from Paris by the high-speed TGV train) or plane (the Geneva and Basel-Mulhouse international airports). This is a truly unique conference site, equipped with first-rate modern facilities, and one which lends itself remarkably well to the development of new ideas, the comparison of experiences, and meetings among people. * HOW TO GET THERE * The Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans is located halfway (35km) between the towns of Dole and Besancon. It is easy to get there from any of the highways out of Paris, Lyon or Mulhouse (once on highway A36, exit at either Dole or Beancon Ouest). A number of direct trains from Paris run regulary to Besancon, including the high-speed TGV (2 1/2 hours). There are also turbotrains from Lyon (2 hrs.), from Mulhouse (2 hrs.) and from Strasbourg (3 hrs.). The conference site can also be reached by plane/car, via the Geneva and Basel-Mulhouse international airports. The nearest station to Arc-et-Senans is Mouchard. It is on the line from Paris to Lausanne and on the line from Lyon to Strasbourg. * REGISTRATIONS FEES / DROITS D'INSCRIPTION * Company representatives / industriels : 2800 FF* / 3100 FF University professors ans researchers / Universitaires : 2000 FF* / 2300 FF Students / Etudiants : 1000 FF* / 1150 FF * before 31 August 1994 / vant le 31 Aout 1994 Meals and Refreshments Conference registration fees will include the following : - lunches on September 21-22-23 - welcome cocktail on September 21 - get-together and evening banquet on September 22 - break refreshments Secretary / Secretariat Mme B.
